Shrimp and Cabbage Gumbo


  • 1tbsp Onion
  • 1/8 tsp minced garlic
  • 1cup of vegetable broth 
  • 1cup of water
  • 1tbs of tomato paste
  • salt
  • pepper
  • cayenne pepper
  • Italian seasoning herbs
  • couple shakes of old bay
  • couple shakes of Frank’s red hot
  • 2 cups cabbage
  • 100g shrimp

Sautee onion and garlic, add one cup of vegetable broth and one cup of water, tomato paste, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, Italian seasoning herbs, couple shakes of old bay, couple shakes of Frank’s red hot, cook until cabbage is about to your desired tenderness and add shrimp. Cook one or two more minutes until shrimp is done. Be sure to taste test while adding both the cayenne pepper and Frank’s, it can get very spicy very fast.
